Home ownership comes with many benefits, but it also comes with responsibilities and costs that can kick in at inconvenient and unpredictable times. The average owner spends over $10k a year on maintenance alone, but the inconvenience often outweighs the costs.
One way Acre lowers the cost of ownership is by reducing your maintenance burden. From the roof to the HVAC, you have an Acre advocate on hand to support you when something goes wrong. When it comes to your home, we cover The Big Stuff. And we’ve got your back for the little stuff, too.
What counts as “the big stuff” ?
Acre is responsible for the cost of normal lifecycle repair or replacement of major systems that impact the safety and livability of the home and that have not been caused by improper use or negligence. As an Acre Resident, you benefit from our coverage of the following systems:
- Heating, cooling, and ventilation systems (HVAC)
- Main plumbing, drainage, and water heating systems
- Water heater and plumbing distribution
- Active leaks from below grade and in-wall lines and fixtures that are not caused by improper use of a system
- Main electrical system. This includes the proper function of the main electrical panel and wiring to safely and reliably distribute power to the home.
- Structural integrity and performance of the roof, chimney, foundation, elevated decks, etc.
- Pest control to address infestations that compromise the structural integrity of the property (e.g., termites, carpenter ants, etc.)
- Mold remediation
- General water intrusion related to natural disasters
We help with "the little stuff"
Imagine hosting friends and family for the holidays only to have your garbage disposal stop working and back up your kitchen sink. Acre Residents have 24-hour support – while you continue to host a great gathering, your Acre advocate has sent over a DIY tutorial on how to address the issue, as well as the contact info for a plumber who can be over shortly if you’d rather hire a professional.
